Can Adhesions Obstruct The Intestine?

Hi

I have an ileostomy which was caused by adhesions obstructing my colon. I have had all my large colon removed and part of my small colon leaving me with approx 1 metre of intestiines. Can adhesions obstruct the 1 metre I have left and what would the outcome be.

remaining after surgery.
As they are the flimsy layers of fine connections involving inter bowel
spaces sufficient to hamper the movements of intestine.
