Can Alcohol Consumption Cause Vision Problems?

I have been drinking for a little over a year close to about 5 days a week and I mean quite a bit to get a buz. About 6-10 shots per not, only whiskey. I have cut back a lot and only drink one night on the weekend. But I am seeing color spots here and there and once in a while dark shadows in the corner of my eyes. Can I go blind if I keep drinking one night out of 7? I am 25, 145 pounds and 5'1, female.

Hi
Alcohol has definitely damaging effect on vision.
It is not only dose related but also depends upon tissue sensitisation.
Besides , heavy drinking deprives proper nutrition.

In your case, you see colored halos and hence eye pressure should also be measured.
