Can Almonds Cause An Increase In Liver Enzymes?

i was just told by my doctor that after a blood tesr my liver enzymes are elevated , i dont drink or take tylynol i do eat a lot of almonds and about 15 pounds over my average weight i am 67 had a stroke 5 years ago caused by endocarditis could the almonds be causing this elevation?

Hi,

The almond doesn't have a direct correlation with elevated liver enzymes.

For elevated liver enzymes, first rule out fatty liver by USG abdomen scan and then viral marker study if needed.

If liver enzymes elevation is not more than two folds elevation then no need to worry.
