I m female, 21, and half way thru a loud movie i thought the audio got messed up, because evrything began sounding robotic. after the movie was over i realized it was me. my right ear is hearing things roboticly. i cleaned out my ear, nothing was there. i haven t been sick in months, and it doesn t hurt or anything else. will it go away on its own?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If a similar patient comes to my OPD, I would first have a thorough check-up of the ears to make sure whether the tympanic membrane is normal as you gave a history of exposure to loud sound.

As you have mentioned it is not making you in pain chances are it may fade by itself. but kindly visit an ENT for assurance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Jilu Joseph, General & Family Physician
