Can An Achilles Tendon Injury Cause Pain In The Heel?
2 years ago I ruptue my ACL on my left leg during a skiing accident, I had my ACL repaired and endured a long recovery process and till now my leg still very stiff and I cannot kneel or squat or walk properly. A couple of weeks ago I started having pain on my heel ankle area, I visited my MD and he did not believe I was having Plantar fasciitis since my pain was not in the fascia. I am wondering if my knee injury and not walking properly for over 2 years now could I have possibly injured my Achilles tendon?
Consult an orthopaedician and get an MRI scan to rule out any ligament or tendon involvement. We have to rule out conditions like plantar fasciitis, which can cause heel pain.
