Hi there Just a question I got HSV1 gentially a few years ago. I have been open and honest with everyone I have been intimate with since and use protection. Last year I was intimate with a guy who had the same apperently (HSV1 gentially) but still took correct precautions. I show symptoms a few days after but thought it was HSV1 playing up. Now I m testing + for HSV 2 gentially. Can I have both?
hi there. 1. both HSV 1 and 2 can be tested at a time. 2. go for HSV 1& 2 IgG and IgM. 3. IgG indicates old infection. 4. IgM indicates new infection. 5. if IgM is raised start using valtoval 1g tab thrice daily for 5 days. 6. ignore IgG values. this may help you
