Can An Allergic Reaction Cause Long Term Pain During Intercourse?

I had intercourse a full week ago with a spermicide condom, the condom came off during. This was in the morning on Sunday, by night I had a bad itching and burning feeling all around and inside my vagina. The next day I had a red rash near the bottom of my vagina and near my anus. The rash went away a day later, no blisters or sores appeared. I was worried It could be herpes from the symptoms so on Saturday I went to get a test. The doc did a check and said there were no signs of Herpes and did a swap test. She said everything looked fine and it may have been an allergic reaction to the condom. The burning is not as intense but has not went away and the last time I had intercourse it was painful. I'm still worried and am wondering if an allergic reation would last this long and cause pain with intercourse. Should I be worried? Would I get symptoms that fast?
