Can An Asthma Patient Take Amoxiclav For Abscess On Gum?
I have asthma and also take risperidone. I have been prescribed co-amoxiclav for abscess on my gum. Can I take this medication having asthma and taking risperidone? One of the side affects is difficult breathing. I am not sure when to take the tablets as I have not been given information about if I take the medication with food, before or after food Kind Regards Matt

Since you are an asthmatic patient and taking risperidone ,as it acts on histamine receptors .
While amoxy+ clavulanic acid should be taken as in great care in asthmatic patient , because attack can precipitate .
So in my opinion first of all consult your treating physician for asthma and get his opinion .
