Hi,
Hemorrhoids are inflamed and swollen veins that are formed when there is continuous irritation of the veins present in the
rectum area and inflammation can lead to pain and bleeding during bowel evacuation.
In a considerable number of cases conservative treatment can provide relief and surgery is not always necessary.
Do cool compresses. You should also do sitz bath that is sitting in a warm water tub especially after bowels.
It can be operated only of conservative treatment is not effective. So apply Anovate ointment. Take
stool softener like Docusate. Do sitz bath. You can do cool compresses.
Avoid spicy foods as it can increase irritation and pain. Drink plenty of water.
In case if still there is no relief
consult a Proctologist anet evaluated and a thorough clinical examination and anoscopy can be done. You can be advised surgical procedures like
Rubber band ligation,
sclerotherapy or Hemorrhoidectomy that is surgical removal of the hemorrhoids. Cost of treatment will depend on the hospital and at times in government hospitals the treatment is free or with nominal charges.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
