Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can anemia cause your heart to palpitate for about 2 months I have been having dizziness mostly after I eat or during eating it feels like im not getting enough oxygen to my brain then my hear flutters I get extremely hot during this time and it can last a min or longer this all started after I got really dehydrated and heat exhausted
Hi There I understand your concern for your health and I would like to tell you that anemia is a very important and common cause of palpitations. Palpitations in anaemia happens due to decreased amount of oxygen carrying capacity of the blood due to which heart has to beat faster to compensate for this decreased oxygen supply to body parts. The dizziness can be both due to anaemia as well as faster heart rate. It's advisable that you should personally consult your doctor to find out the cause of your anaemia and get proper treatment.
I wish you good health
