Can Anxiety Attacks Influence Blood Pressure Results?
I went to the Emergency Care today - not ER. Had an EKG & X-ray done, as I wasn t really having shortness of breath or anything, but felt really nervous, anxious. Have like a muscular pain in upper left breast, I now still have the anxious feeling. I am not on any high blood pressure medicine yet, I am 47 years old, blood pressure was high, first reading was 188/110, 2nd was 192/110 & third reading was 160/102. The Dr. said the X-ray & egk were okay - nothing looked abnormal, they would have the radiologist look @ it & I am following up with a new provider on Tuesday, to be placed on High Blood Pressure med as well as I know cholestrol (I am currently not on any medications at all, he stated to take a 81 miligram low dose asprin daily until I see the dr. Could the results be anxiety attack related. I am not feeling shortness of breath - just extremely nervous, anxious right now, no pain down arm or - just the strain

Hypertension can be labeled when more than 2 readings at different points .
So it will be better you get your blood pressure checked two more time and visit your cardiologist.
