Can Appendectomy Lead To Weight Gain And Can This Be Prevented?

Hello All!
i am 19 years Old boy, 2 days ago i had appendix and had to Operate it. now i hear from people that we gain weight after recovery. what is the reason for that and what is solution for staying in same weight, because my height is 175 and my weight is around 75 kg

Hello and thank you for your question.
Some people gain weight after a surgery because they are inactive. As you recover eat normally and try to avoid junk food and focus on fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains. Stay active and as soon as you are able walk for at least 30 minutes every day. For most young healthy people there is not a lot of weight gain after appendectomy.
