Can Baby Formula Quantity And Intervals Be Altered?
Is it fine if I alter the formula of nan pro 1 in terms of time interval and quantity? At the moment I have 1 and half month baby , which is breast fed and also bottle fed with Nan pro 1 (due to my lactation problem). Is it fine if I reduce both quantity and time intervals for the milk feed ?
Hi...Yes you can alter the feeding pattern. You can always try to reduce the quantity of the bottle feeds and try to increase the breast feeds. But I take this opportunity to reiterate the fact that - DIRECT AND EXCLUSIVE BREAST FEEDING IS THE BEST FOR BABY TILL 6 MONTHS OF AGE. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health. Dr. Sumanth MBBS., DCH., DNB (Paed).,
Hi...you can as well do it. But remember only one thing...feeding in babies of this age group need demand feeding. This means, you need to feed the baby when the baby needs feeding - that is cries. Make sure the bay is gaining weight well and is passing urine at least times a day. If this is met, then don't think about the number of feeds or quantity. regards - Dr. Sumanth
