hello my daughter is having sugery on tuesday for adnoids and taunsils she is 23 months old and the ent said no benedryl but her pediatrian said use benedryl and we told him that the ent said dont use. or issue is she is draining so much that coughs and pukes up mucus all night can we give her benedryl tonight

Benadryl is an antihistamine with anticholinergic properties.Commonly used for allergic conditions and cold.Sedating side effect can limit its usage to some doctors. But the childs symptoms are due to persistent adenoiditis..You can give benadryl sos if herr symptoms are too much troublesome
