Can Benign Cysts On Thyroid Be Related To Having Low Grade Fever, Cold And Chills While Being Pre-diabetic?

I have had a low grade fever of between 99.6-101.9 that I get in the afternoons and evenings. I don t get it all the time, it will last for a couple of weeks and I might not have another for months. This has been going on for 4 years and I have seen numerous doctors and had many tests, however no one can come up with an answer. During these fevers, I can feel them when they start, I get cold and start having chills, I am extremely tired, and my body aches, almost like the flu. Recent blood work has shown me to have pre diabetes, my A1C was 5.5 in August last year and 6.0 a week ago. Could this be related? Could I have some type of autoimmune disease? I also have 10 benign cysts on my thyroid that swell once or twice a year but all of the extensive thyroid testing has come back normal. Please give me your opinion of what to look for next!

Dear user, whatever symptoms you have described are not related to pre diabetes. thyroid cysts also seem to be benign but if any of these episodes are also associated with concomitant thyroid pain then there can be a co relation. it is not clear from the query how old are you and whether you are a female. if yes, then do these episodes have any relation to your periods? are you perimenopausal? what is your CRP and ESR (any gender)? if you can answer these queries may be i can think more clearly. Regards!
