Can Birth Control Pills Be Continued Normally After Having Discontinued For A While?

I'm on birth control and I have been on it for 4 years now. This month I got my period one week early after a very stressful family emergency. I stopped taking my active pills like suggested by my doctor. When do i continue with my new pack? At the end of my period or on my regular schedule?

Hello,

You can start the new pack right away. You do not have to wait for the bleeding to completely stop.

Hope this answers your question
