Can Bladder Removal Cause Blood To Pass While Urinating?

My husband has had his bladder removed from having cancer. He is cancer free now but is wearing a bag and at times he starts passing blood in his urine through stoma and sometimes there are small blood clots in it. I was wondering what it could be. I know they took part of his intestions and made him a way to use the bag. Could you help with the problem?
