I have a very sore throat and little white blisters just round the corner of my right tonsil. I went to the nurse today and she couldn't see the blisters and said it was viral and gave me pain killers. When i got home we looked again and the blisters are definately there and the painkillers are not working. Does the blisters mean I have tonsilitis and should I go back to my Drs surgery?
it's usually because of tonsillitis . u need to take antibiotics (penicillins ) for a week. and salt water gargling . u may not need surgery. usually one tonsil is not infected . u need to consult ENT doctor to know if both r involved or not ( if one is involved I have to think about peritonsillitis or abscess)
