Can Blisters In Pubic Area And White Thing On Tip Of Penis Be Due To Herpes Infection?

I have a bad infection in my small intestine and have been on all kinds antibiotics, pain meds and steroids for the last 2 weeks in the hospital. im finally going home tomorrow and noticed there is blisters in pubic area above my genitals and there was a white thing on the tip of my penis...? it doesn t itch or hurt... I asked the GI doctor and he said it looked like herpes but didn t know for certain... is that what this is???

Hi,

Yes it could be herpetic infection, but in most cases they are associated with pain and tenderness. I would advise you to send us the photograph for proper evaluation. Differential diagnosis also include candidal BALANITIS.
