Hi, my dad just seemingly suddenly in a matter of moments got blackness under half his eye. He is 58 years old and a long time smoker who has not had any serious evident health issues besides becoming over weight but not to an extreme extent. I am concerned that this is more than a broken blood vessel. What should be investigated, and could you give some potential causes?
broken blood vessel can cause initially red and subsiquently blackish. It can be because of hypertension, sevieor constipation and chronic cough. take care of all the causes. get treated for that. dis colorlessness will go itself. it is self limiting.
