Hello. My Dad is 74 years old and was recently in the hospital in Florida with Pneumonia of his left lung. He had a very bad Bronchitis. He was given Colchicine and other medications. His illness was severe. He recovered quite well but since retuning to New York the symptom of speaking and then not being able to continue talking is returning. is it the Bronchial tubes?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The given symptoms are not related with the pneumonia but it seems to be due to some neurological deficit and psychological disorders and all these could be due to age, it may be temporary so just wait for few days and it will come around, if not then you have to get evaluate the psychoneurological disorders.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Akhtar Husain
