Can Calcium Cause Rise In Bp?

I am concerned about several symptoms I have had. My main concern right now is my high BP. It will all of the sudden go up. I've had a nursing instructor tell me that from my symptoms i may need to go see an endocrinologist. I've looked up hyperparathyroidism and have many symptoms. I also have a hard lump under the skin of my inner thigh. It does not hurt. Could this be a calcium deposit? I've told my Primary care physician that I have symptoms and what i think it could be and she just laughed and said that it is definitely not hyperparathyroidism without doing any tests.
