Can Cancer Patient Have Sudden Spurt Of Energy?

My Father has a tumor around his juggler vein that is growing very rapidly, his cancer has also spread to his lungs. we have been told that he could pass anytime...today he had a huge burst of emergy and said he hasnt felt this great in several days... do cancer patients usually have a spurt of energy before they pass?
