I had cataract surgery on my left eye about 5 weeks ago. I had the surgery on my right eye about 2 weeks ago. My left eye been jumping since the surgery. It is most noticeable when I am tracking something close, for example browsing a shelf while shopping,or trying to track print while reading. The eyeball jumps around and will not track smoothly.my doctor seems to think that it is a problem because the vision in the two eyes is slightly different. But I find that covering my right eye does not help my left eye track smoothly any ideas?
it is anisometropia differance of power between two eyes causing this problem if differance is more than 2.5 the such problem will arise.you have to cover the-non operated eye by taking fogging glass or wait till surgery of non operated eye if vision of non operated eye is better you can use them alter natl y.
I reviewed your history. These symptoms are probably because of astigmatism either pre- existing or induced by surgery. Hence correction of this by refraction and correction can help you. Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
