Can Change Of Medication Cause Wheezing?

HI, my drug company just recently changed their enalapril to the Wockhardt brand 10 mg and I seem to be getting a night time wheezing that even wakes me up. I can t remember the manufacturer of the other 10 mg, but it was an elongated pill type that was light tan color. Does this make sense?

Hello

Antihypertensive druge like enalapril is safe in asthmatics. Whereas drugs belonging to the beta bloccker group like atenolol should not be given to asthmatics as beta blockers cause broncho constriction and aggravate wheezing. But certain selectively acting beta blockers are used now a days. Nothing can be told with the shape and color of the pill.
