Can Changing From Cymbalta To Duloxetine Lead To Sluggish, Depression?

I have taken Cymbalta for 12 years with success. They now switched me to duloxetine (60mg). I am now more tired and wanting to sleep more. What is the difference between Cymbalta and duloxetine that would cause me to feel sluggish, signs of depression?

Hi,
Welcome to healthcare Magic!
Duloxetine is known to cause drowsiness during initial period of treatment.
As you carry on the drowsiness will resolved and the antidepressant effects will prevail.
Cymbalta is also antidepressant drug but you might be needing higher doses of it so your clinician switched you to duloxetine which has got a different mode of action.
I hope the advise would be informative and useful for you.
Take Care!
