Can Chemical Irritation Be Causing Pain In Rib Muscle Along With Dry Cough?

Hi there. I had an incident while cleaning my toilet 15 months ago where I unknowingly put bleach in my toilet along with toilet bowl cleaner. When I inhaled, I couldn't breathe and crawled out of my house unable to get a breath. I couldn't talk for 2 days and then got better. In the last 15 months, I have right side 'rib muscle' pain upon pressure, worse after strenuous activity or stress. I have a dry cough and clearing my throat often. Could this be long term effects from this chemical irritation and what should I do about it? Should I be concerned?

Thank you,

Joni

Hi thanks for asking question.
Noted you have chemical irritant exposure to respiratory tract...
So just now by contribution from other causative factors you might have chronic bronchitis....

For its diagnosis chest x ray done which shows prominent bronchovascular marking.
Pulmonary function test also useful...

If needed treatment done with antiinflammatory drug.
If inflammation more short course of steroid can be given...

Avoid smoking ....
Avoid excess spicy food.

Take care.
Hope your concern solved.
