Can Chest Tightness And Discomfort Between Breast Be Indications Of Heart Attack?
Hi I have constant chest tightness and discomfort. It's between my breasts in breastbone area. Also I am very thirsty. Am I in danger of heart attack ? I'm 51 years old female and always been in good health except under-active thyroid. (I take thyroxin daily. 125 mgs) plus migraine linked to menopause/hormones so take. 25 msg atenelol also. Could the chest pain be something less worrying than a heart problem? What should I do?
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. As you describe it appears to be the gastric hyperacidity, due to the gastric irritation due to the irritant foods, peptic ulcer, or anxiety. I advise you to consult a gastroenterologist for diagnosis and treatment. you may need to have a gastroscopy, and ultrasound for confirmation. If gastric problem is excluded, then you may think of cardiac problems. Avoid taking spices, junk foods, and oily foods. Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods to hasten the recovery. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
