Can Children Be Exposed To Whooping Cough Patient After Already Been Exposed?

I am a daycare provider & one of my daycare children has just been diagnosed with possible whooping cough. The doctor told them not to expose any new kids to their daughter so they want to bring their child to me tomorrow with the thought process that all my daycare kids have already been exposed to her. I personally don't think she should come and would like to know your opinion on this.

Some of the kids may have picked up the germ, but plenty of them may not have. Just because they all have been exposed does not mean they are immune. So it is a bad idea for them to bring their daughter to the daycare. She can still spread the infection and I am sure the doctor meant do not expose her to other children outside her household, especially in a daycare setting. Hope this helps.
