Can Chlorine Water Cause Detached Cuticles In The Finger Nails?
Hello, my son's nails on his pointer fingers are detached from the cuticle. He did not injure his hands and he is four so no chemicals. He did however go swimming a month ago. Could this be from the chlorine in the water? There is also a yellow tint under one nail.
The most common cause for detached cuticle is Paronychia which is inflammation of nail fold. I request you to consult your doctor to rule out paranychia and to follow his instructions for further management.
