Can Cocktail Be Consumed While On Treatment For Hyperthyroid And Graves Disease?
I was recently diagnosed with hypertyroid and graves disease. I am taking 20mg of methamazole once a day, and 10mg of beta blockers, propranonol, as needed (usually one ever 10 hours or so. With the holidays coming up, I am wondering if it s okay to have a cocktail or two (no more!) without major health risks. I have been taking the medicine for anout a month now.
Good day, It is okay to have moderate amount of alcohol ( 2 standard drinks) once Grave's disease is in control. Excess intake is not advisable. Please understand that, smoking ( including passive smoking) is very harmful in Grave's disease . And please do not skip your medicines during holidays. Regards Binu
