My brother was recently diagnosed with stage 3.4 colon cancer. He has undergone 6 of the required 12 chemo therapy treatments recommended. Can you tell me when would we be able to expect to know how successful treatments have been? Are there any other treatments in addition to chemotherapy?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If ti is a colon cancer, then a total of 6 month of therapy is required. After the treatment ends, regular follow up at 3 month interval with ct scan once in an year is done to know the success.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
