Can Colonoscopy Cause Abdominal Spasm?

I keep getting a spasm on my left side of my abdomen under my rib cage it lasts 30 seconds then recedes. sometimes it goes from the right side to the left. It started the same week that I had a colonoscopy. Could this be caused from the colonoscopy . I had 4 small growths removed.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of getting spasm on left side under ribs, sometimes gong from right to left and occurred after colonoscopy wherein 4 growths wee removed.
This is classical colonic spam and can be die to formation of hematoma, edema post removal of the growth.
I would advise you the following:
Get CT scan of the abdomen.
Stool tests.
Repeat colonoscopy.
Liquid and soft diet.
Stool softeners
Rest
All these lead to the proper diagnosis and management if at all required, as in most of the cases this will heal on its own.
