dear doc, my 10 mnths old baby boy stays with nanny wen me n my husband go to work.our nanny is a widow n has two childern 1 daughter 9yrs(elder) n 1 son.just 2 days ago we have got to know dat her daugher is hiv positive. Nanny has cnfrmd dat she n her son are alriht. Pls advice shud we replace d nany or is it safe to leave baby wid nanny as she confrmd she1s not infected.also advice gw it s how it spread?

Hi. Don't worry. it is safe to keep your child with her.hiv cant be spread by simple touch or by living together. hiv can spread by sexual contact, blood to blood contact or from maternal to child. just relaxed no need to worry.
