Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Coke (Coca-Cola, not cocaine) used to perk me up and help me get through the day when I felt drained or tired, or at the very least it never used to make me drowsy. I ve noticed recently though that it just makes me tired. And it s almost instant, like I m not even getting the benefits of the caffeine or sugar before I crash . Just a single glass of Coke can right about knock me out these days, I have to take a long nap after having some.Is this normal and/or is there a reason for this?
You have developed a tolerance to caffeine through caffeine overuse. I would stop drinking all caffeinated beverages for at least one month, to try to eliminate this effect Coca-Cola currently has on you.
