Can Consuming Light Diet Cause Fever And Dark Blood In Stool?
About two weeks ago, I was eating supper and experienced severe upper stomach pain that radiated through to my back. My husband said my face was flushed and took my temperature which was 102. I laid down for a couple of hours and felt a little better, but have been careful with what I eat since then because if I eat anything more than a light meal, I experience the same symptoms including the temperature. Today I had dark blood in my stool. Do you think this is just a stomach virus, or should I consult my doctor? Thanks for your input.
Light food don't cause fever or blood in stool. You have fever so it may be because of infection . Gastritis or peptic ulcer may cause blood in stool. Gastroenteritis may ruled out.
Intestinal infection like ulcerative colitis may cause blood in stool. Diverticulitis may ruled out. Intestinal poly cause blood in stool.
Consent a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis. Stool examination test is helpful.
I hope my guidance is helpful to you. Take care. Thanks.
