Can Consumption Of Maalox-mint Cause Burps To Taste Like Mint?
Why do i have minty burping when i haven t had anything minty in over 24 hours? Had some diarrhea this morning and took anti-diarrhea meds. Stomach making lots of bubbly noises, and i took a gas-x and started belching mint flavor. Could cause be mint i had over 24 hours ago? I took mint maalox over 24 hours ago.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Your mint burping is secondary to mint flavored maalox. Due to the fact that you have an increase in bowel movement it can reflux and give you the mint taste. This can happen because the intestines are moving but digestion and absorption can be slow, so you still have the taste after 24 hrs.

It is normal and will get better when you improve your digestive problem.
I recommend you to drink plenty of water and take the gas-x for 48 to 72 hours or until your indigestion improves.
