Can Contraceptive Implant Placed After Conception Cause Miscarriage?

I got a contraceptive implant inserted on the 23rd of March last year. On the 24th or 25th i began bleeding but i considered it a normal period. This went on for a few days and it lightened off, but by the 28th I woke up with agonising lower back pains and what felt like mini contractions... i had a tampon in but when i later went to the bathroom and removed the tampon etc and wiped, the toilet roll got caught on something. i had a look and it was a tiny, tiny baby. no skin however, just a tiny blue/purple body (arms, legs, head) but no facial features etc. i worked it out and i had infact been 2 - 3 months pregnant and i had no idea until it was too late. i know that this was a miscarriage, but my question is would it have been caused due to gettin the implant? it would help to put my mind at rest to at last get an answer as it has now been over a year and it haunts me every day. thanks
