Can Contraceptive Pill Delay Regular Periods?

I was on contraceptive pills till about 3 months ago. I had sex in November and took postinor-2 afterwards. 3 weeks after that (exactly a week before my menses begins), I started bleeding (for about 4 days). Today marks the 6th day of delay in my menses. I was supposed to have seen it on the 3rd.

Hi,
Emergency pills contain high doses of the progestin, levonorgestrel, and hence can disrupt the normal hormonal milieu. If the intercourse happened to be in the safe period of the cycle, no precaution is needed. This can lead to withdrawal bleeds soon after the pill intake and a delayed natural period. Your menstrual history is indicative of the pill effect. Please see an expert for further evaluation and management if you do not see your period even after ten days after it is due. Hope this helps.
