Can Contrast IV Dye Cause Diarrhea And Severe Abdomen Pain In Type II Diabetic Patients?

ok I am a type 2 diabetic, I had ..a CT yesterday with a lot if IV contrast dye I had taken my metformin that morning but then I found out that I couldn't take it for the next 48 hrs because of kidney function .... that's ok.. but I got really sick, sharp pains in my abdomen then diarrhea for 2 days I feel sick.. I hate going to the er for something like that but this is day 2 and its the 1 of jan everythging is closed... my abdomen still hurts but not like it did. SO can Contrast IV Dye cause diarrhea and severe abdomen pain

Hi. IV contrast dye is not known to cause this type of reaction. This may be due to actual enteritis.
