hi i am 26 years old and recently married. on the 17th day from the day of periods my hubby left his semen in me. i had taken an ipill after about 18 hours to avoid pregnancy. this month my periods is already due by 2 days. will using of ipill cause delay in periods? if so what is duration?
Though your unprotected intercourse was very much near the fertile period, you have consumed ipill 18 hours after the intercourse, which is well within its stipulated period. Ipill has got very good results and its failure rate is very low. So pregnancy seems to be a very remote possibility. 2 days delay in period should not worry you. It could be due to any thing - stress of pregnancy or even normal variation of regular period. I feel you should get the menses within few days. If you do not get them within next week, then get your urine tested for pregnancy test and if needed get ultrasonigraphy also done. This would clarify the matter.
