Hi Ms. Luthra, Fever is not a contraindication to go for a vaginal delivery, unless there are other associated manifestations which recommend an abdominal delivery. Infections of the vagina which may infect the child, distress of the fetus or the mother are some causes that may need an abdominal delivery. As you are still in the 8th month, and all your vital data are normal, except for the fever, please do not worry. Get treated properly and all is going to be well. Wish you safe motherhood.
