Just spoke to my 96 year old mom. Her speech was garbled. She is in an assisted living facility so I immediately contacted a nurse to check on her. The first nurse said her speech was slurred and by the time a second nurse got there, it was not. She is able to walk, as she did before, with a walker. I just spoke to my mom again and she sounds better but it sounds like her tongue is thick, with some words. She had a mini stroke in December. In addition, her blood pressure has been deviating from high to low and her physician has increased her medication. Should I be concerned? I m pretty sure I m not imagining things but the nurses say she seems okay. Thank you in advance for your advice:)
