My aunt has high blood sugar..since the last month she has been suffering from loss of apetite..done all the tests and all have come up negative,,she jst cant eat anythng,,hasnt been eating for a month now..is it due to diabetes or sme stomach problem
Diabetes should not cause a loss of appetite. It can cause weight loss if the blood sugars are not in control but should not cause weight loss.
IF all her blood tests including electrolyte levels, complete blood count, ESR are all normal and necessary imaging is normal , then it rules out organic causes as the reason for the appetite change.
You may have to consider whether there are any psychological causes for the loss of appetite.
I hope this helps
