hi my dad is diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy. the doctor says 75% of his right eye is affected and nearly 50 % of left eye is also affected. can he be cured by laser treatment? can he be prevented from losing his vision?> - rajashree

There's grading of diabetic retinopathy depending on various signs present... Depending in these grades management protocol is made... Lasers / anti VEGF injections / vitreo retinal surgery... But best is diabetic control n diet control...
