Can Diarrhea With Gas Troubles Suggest Salmonella Infection?

i have been with diarreha for a month now i lost twelve pounds in that month i got fever sometimes and go to the washroom and i do almost nothing just little diarreha and gas but no much i feel like going to eat but when i try the food my appetite desapered i started with acid problems and then this what could be the problem acid -virus salmonela or dengue i went to Guatemala and to el Salvador from 02-24-14 to april 10th 2914

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of diarrhea for a month, lost 12 pounds, gases, decreased appetite, acid problems started, visited Guatemala and El Salvador.
Salmonella infection can be very well detected by the blood tests of culture and sensitivity and y Widal test for antibodies.
Please go for the proper clinical evaluation and examination by a Doctor.
Blood tests as advised and as per the the clinical findings.
Tests of stool and urine.
These will guide for the proper diagnosis and treatment., which may be of a course of 3 weeks duration for the cure.
