Can Discontinuation Of Mobic Prevent Ulcer And Minor Bleeding?

I was taken Mobic as was prescribed by my doctor: 1 tab a day for 3 weeks. Finished taken it a week ago. Yesterday I got to emergency room because of a black stool and lose of weight, but no pain or other simptoms. Was deagnozed with ulcer with minor bleading after endoscopy. Will this go away over time if I am not taking Mobic any more. Thank you. Respectfully, Marina T.

Brief answer: NSAIDS induce gastric ulcer
detailed answer:
if a patient using pain killer witb out gastroprotection like PPI may cause ulceration and bleeding which lead to black coloured stool.
GI endoscopy must perform to stop the bleeding by band ligation.
Aftet endoscopy and band ligatiion advised the patient not to take pain killers with out prior prescfiption from the doctor and tell the history of Drug induced gastritis.
yeah no need to worry you will be fine because bleeding piont stop its located and ligated.
continue the prescribed medicine from your gastroentfologist for stomach.
