Can Discontinuity Of Antidepressant Cause Dizziness?
I have been feeling dizzy, tired and have had a tightness in chest and back pain doctors have put it down to stress as i lost my mum 10 months ago and my grandad and have just had my 3rd baby 16 weeks early she is now 14 weeks old and is doing very well in the scbu unit. im 30 years old 5ft 3 and about 16 stone. I was prescribed antidesressents last week but have stopped taking them and i also suffer from victigo.
If you were taking antidepressants only for a week, you are not likely to have dizziness due to discontinuing them. Feeling dizzy and tired, multiple aches etc can be symptoms of depression. Depression is also common after having a child. Often it is mild and goes away on its own. However, if you feel sad most of the time and on most of the days, if you feel loss of interest in life, you should consult a psychiatrist. Remember that it may take up to three weeks of adequate dosage of the right antidepressants for response. Initially one may have some unpleasant side effects which then wear off. I hope this answers your question.
