Hello, I took a diuretic prescribed by my doctor for three days. It was prescribed because I had far over-indulged (for several weeks) in eating out/fast foods and thereby ingesting mass amounts of sodium. My blood pressure went extremely high, I do take Lisinopril, and it was evident from my swollen feet and ankles that I was retaining water. I had gotten back on track regarding the unhealthy eating, and was losing the water prior to beginning the diuretic. Yesterday, I attempted to mow the lawn, but became very short of breath, somewhat clammy, and light-headed. I had to sit for a good 10-minutes or so to regain my breath, stop my heart from pounding, not feel as if I were going to faint, and to make it back into the house. I then had to lay down for a long while to feel better. I did not take a pill last night. Is it possible I became dehydrated from the diuretic? Thank you; I appreciate your consultation. Diane Merle
