Can Diverticulosis Go Into Remission?

can diverticulosis go away sometimes...i had a colonoscopy 11 mnths ago and he said that i didn't have diverticulosis...4 mos later i got diverticulosis but it was ruled out b/c the gastro doc said i didn't have it.
now i have it 7 mos further out and it is extreme.
had i had known, i wouldn't be in this position.
or maybe it went into remission or maybe it just wasn't detected...the nurse was mad at me that day of the colonoscopy b/c she said i wasn't full cleaned out...(she was just crabby) the last sentence should have no relevance b/c i trust that it was a thourough and accurate exam.
what say ye, can it go into remission, can it go unseen even during a colonoscopy? thanks a TON. jennifer

Hello,

Yes, if diverticulosis is there, then it prone for repeated infections called diverticulitis. You need colonoscopy or CT abdomen to confirm the cause.

If colon not cleaned properly, then it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your doctor so that he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
